A SOLO FOR MR. FOLK est une déconstruction de danses folkloriques slovaques traditionnelles et une reconstruction de son équivalent pop surréaliste et actuel. En touchant l'art moderne, la musique et l'expressionnisme, nous suivons l’aventure d'un homme investit par la fureur et l’endurance et qui nous pousse à l’idéalisation de lui-même et de son héritage. Pour OFFestival 2014, MILAN HERICH montre une étape de travail avancée ; la sortie officielle étant prévue pour cet automne.  

A SOLO FOR MR. FOLK is a deconstruction of traditional Slovakian folk dances and a rebuilt of a surreal and current pop culture equivalent. Touching upon modern art, music and expressionism, we follow the pathway of a man's journey revealing a fury of uplifting and enduring perspectives that lead us towards the idealization of himself and his traditional heritage. For OFFestival 2014, MILAN HERICH shows an advanced work in progress ; the piece will be premiered during this autumn.

Né en 1980, Milan fait ses premiers pas dans la danse avec la compagnie de danse traditionnelle slovaque pour enfants Dumbier. Diplômé en 2000, il étudie ensuite au Conservatoire J.L. En 2002, il quitte l'Université d'Arts à Bratislava pour entrer dans l'école internationale P.A.R.T.S. dirigée par Anna Teresa de Keersmaeker à Bruxelles. Par la suite, Milan rejoint Ultima Vez (Wim Vandekeybus) pour Puur. En 2007 il rejoint la compagnie de Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui pour la création le Mythe. Milan Herich est le co-fondateur du collectif de danse Les Slovaques. Ils ont créé Opening Night en octobre 2007, Journey Home en novembre 2009 et en 2010 Les Slovaques - Le Koncert.

Born in 1980, Milan started his first dance steps in the Slovak traditional children dance company Dumbier. Graduated in 2000, his studies at the Conservatory J.L. In September 2002, he left the University of Arts in Bratislava to enter the international school P.A.R.T.S., headed by Anna Teresa de Keersmaeker in Brussels. Mino joined Ultima Vez company (Wim Vandekeybus) for Puur. In 2007 he joins the company of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui for the creation of Myth. Milan Herich is co-founder of Les SlovaKs Dance Collective. They created Opening Night in October 2007, Opening Night in November 2009 and in 2010 Les SlovaKs - The Koncert.
